Our Services
At Lunea, we provide expert psychiatric assessment and management for a wide range of conditions affecting women's mental health, with a focus on the complex interactions between hormones, life events, and emotional wellbeing. Whether it is strong premenstrual emotions, perimenopausal fog, baby blues that just won't shift or other mental well-being concerns, we are here to help.

All consultations are conducted online via a secure and private telehealth platform and are eligible for Medicare rebate. Most consultations are one‑off assessments; afterward, we send your GP a management plan to guide care. During pregnancy and the perinatal period—when rapid hormonal and physical changes occur—we may suggest ongoing follow‑up, but the choice is always yours.

What We Don't Do
Please note, we do not provide:

After-hours crisis or emergency care. In an emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest hospital emergency department.
-
Inpatient hospital admissions.
-
Consultations for anyone under the age of 16.
-
Primary management of drug and alcohol dependence, including detoxification or opioid-replacement therapy.
-
WorkCover, TAC, insurance, NDIS provision or other medico-legal reports, including assessments for family court matters.
-
Forensic or court-ordered psychiatric assessments.
-
Routine stimulant prescribing for ADHD for women without a previously documented diagnosis from a comprehensive assessment.
-
Prescribing of medicinal cannabis, high-dose benzodiazepines or opioids.

Ongoing Patient Care
The clinic also offers ongoing psychiatric care for a limited number of individuals to allow for continuity of treatment, medication management, and supportive therapy for women who require more intensive or long-term support. Many women are content to implement their management plan with their GP and may return for a further once-off review of the progress of their management plan in the subsequent 3-6 months.
